At-Home Learning Options

Attending Co-op Day gives you focused programming for your preschool through high school aged children. But how can you integrate the materials introduced and discussed at Co-op with the rest of your days at home throughout the week?

The short answer is that for Pre-Grammar through Grammar Stage (Grades 1-6), you can do as little as simply practicing the memory work throughout the week. Other than that, for Pre-Grammar, you need only read, play, and help your children develop their motor skills!
For Grammar Stage, complement the memory work with any curriculum you'd like at home. Lux Christi has adopted the Schola Rosa version of the Classically Catholic Memory program for use on Co-op day, and each family has access to the entire Schola Rosa online suite of curricular materials for the rest of their children's educational needs if they so desire to use them. The only Schola Rosa material actually put into use during our Co-op day will be the CCM memory work, the art projects, the science projects, and weekly virtue presentations during Assembly.

For Logic (Grades 7-8), Rhetoric 1 (Grades 9-10), and Rhetoric 2 (Grades 11-12), the Traditio Nostra materials have been adopted by Lux Christi for instruction and Socratic discussion at co-op. Each course offered will require preparation at home so the students can fully participate on co-op day. Lux Christi will employ a learning model of having children prepare throughout the week, watching optional video lessons, reading, and writing as needed, and then arriving at co-op prepared for participation. At home, families may purchase as many or as few individual courses—either self-paced or (if they desire accreditation) live online courses—as they choose. The live courses incur an additional fee and are run through Oxrose Academy.
Economical for a Family!
Only $50 for nearly everything!
The Schola Rosa Online Suite for grades 1-6 is included when you enroll with Lux Christi. Bound copies of almost everything included online can be purchased, but if you prefer to save money and print, you can! Maps, timeline cards, and a FEW well-chosen books/novels for classroom and family discussion round out the required purchases.
CCM is *INCLUDED*
Memory Work Program
Schola Rosa acquired and adapted the Classically Catholic Memory program (CCM) in 2021 and reformatted the CCM four-year cycle to fit into a three-year cycle. This three-year cycle of memory work is fully included in the Online Suite, including unit (weekly) summaries, streaming audio, some hand-motion videos, and linked supplementary videos.
Family Unity in Scheduling
"Integrated Family Schedule"
All children in 1-6 cover topics concurrently (focusing on certain saints, historical events, memory work, read-alouds, geography maps, etc.) to allow the family culture to be a shared experience of learning together. Furthermore, parents know what each child is learning and are able to stay organized and minimize the chaos that comes with homeschooling several children!

Truly ALL You Need
All-In-One Online Suite
When you purchase the $50 family yearly subscription, you have access to weekly lesson plans, activities, printables, streaming audiobooks,
e-books, videos, and more. This is streamlined and economical, but if you prefer ready-to-go materials, you can purchase printed perfect-bound books of almost every resource in the Online Suite (except audio and video, of course).
Cyclical Approach
Three-Year Cycle Arrangement
Historical events in the timeline and certain science disciplines are the key focuses of each cycle and are the hub from which the other subjects branch out. Children who begin Schola Rosa in Grade 1 will experience the fullness of all three cycles twice, adding depth and the weight of their increased natural curiosity the second time around.
The graphic below shows the materials available through Schola Rosa's Online Suite (and available for purchase as perfect bound books).
The top portion shows what you can choose to study at home.
The Memory Work portion at the bottom is the scope of the memory work sentences we will learn at Co-op during 2025-2026.

Economical for a Family!
The Traditio Nostra Online Suite for grades 7-12 is cost-effective! Printed copies of almost everything included online can be purchased, but if you prefer to save money and print, you can! Simply enrolling in our Lux Christi Co-op will give students and Class Leaders access to ALL course materials. Should parents wish to purchase additional courses (such as live Oxrose Academy courses), those incur an added cost.
